Customer Engineer
The Customer Engineer is a customer-facing position that is primarily responsible for installation and support of Mazu's Enterprise-class security solutions. The Customer Engineer will also develop and deliver high quality training to Mazu's customers. The Customer Engineer's schedule will include up to 20% travel. This position reports to the Vice President of Technical Operations, and is based in Mazu's Cambridge, Mass. office.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Install, Configure, and Manage Enterprise-class security solutions at clients worldwide
- Respond to Customer Support calls
- Develop Customer Training Programs and Materials
- Conduct Customer Training at Mazu and at customer sites
- Develop and maintain departmental procedures
- Work with the Engineering team to escalate and respond to critical customer problems
Experience/skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- Excellent Interpersonal and Customer Service skills
- Fundamental understanding of IP networking including DHCP, DNS, and IP routing
- Working knowledge of major IP infrastructure products such as firewalls, routers and switches (especially Cisco)
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience with Unix (Linux preferred) administration
- Excellent Troubleshooting skills
