Network Application Software Engineer

This engineer will work with the team that designs and implements the core processing engine for Mazu's enterprise security solutions. In this role, they will contribute to all phases of the software product development cycle including requirements definition, functional specification, coding, test, deployment, and support. This position reports to the Vice President of Engineering and is based in Mazu's Cambridge, Massachusetts headquarters.

A qualified candidate must:

  • have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • be fluent in C++ and Perl (other scripting languages a plus)
  • have significant experience with Linux and/or Unix
  • have sophisticated understanding of systems programming (networking APIs, asynchronous I/O, multi-threading, memory-mapping, etc.)
  • have familiarity with TCP/IP networking
  • be comfortable with mathematical topics, especially statistics
  • have experience with relational databases
