Cambridge, MA (April 01, 2003) - Mazu Networks, a leading provider of behavioral threat protection solutions for enterprise networks, today announced that it has expanded its business operations with a new sales and service office in New York City.
The office is a focal point for sales and service activities with Mazu's growing roster of global, New York-based financial services customers. Located in the One Penn Plaza complex in Midtown, the office will also enable local servicing of Mazu's customers in New Jersey and southern Connecticut.
The new office will be overseen by Erick Goralski, Mazu's Director of Sales for the Greater New York region. The New York team will focus on driving broader and deeper adoption of Mazu's PowerSecure solutions by major brokerage houses, investment banks and money management firms. Mazu's US expansion comes at a time when the security industry is predicted to see a significant rise in spending. The market for security services is projected to grow by 24 percent, compounded annually, between 2001 and 2006, while the security software market will experience a compound annual growth rate of approximately 16 percent over the same period.
Large enterprises use Mazu's PowerSecure™ solutions to secure and enhance their mission-critical network and communication infrastructures, at both the core and the perimeter. The PowerSecure line is a family of enterprise-class solutions that ensures high availability of an organization's network resources to maximize business continuity and ensure employee productivity.
PowerSecure solutions 'learn' the behaviors of the environments in which they are deployed by profiling and characterizing all aspects of these networks and the traffic that courses through them. They capture information on every network connection over time in order to dynamically profile 'normal' traffic flow. PowerSecure solutions can uniquely deliver real-time, actionable information about security threats such as unknown worms, viruses and malicious users in order to enable cost effective network defense.
With advanced intelligence about network traffic, provided in an easy to use and actionable format, PowerSecure solutions can quickly identify and mitigate the widest range of internal and external threats and attacks, while maximizing the network's infrastructure.
PowerSecure products deliver behavioral threat detection and mitigation capabilities, dynamic risk assessment, and functions for identifying attacks that "fly under the radar" of existing security infrastructure. PowerSecure solutions also deliver functionality for optimizing network operations and performance. PowerSecure paints a clear picture of an entire network, provides an accurate view of security problems and ensures that networks are utilized according to mandated security policies.
