Mazu Networks Names Larry Christofori as Chief Financial Officer

Veteran executive to set strategy and oversee all aspects of financial management and other corporate and administrative functions


CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (December 6, 2004) — Mazu Networks, the leading provider of network-wide intrusion prevention solutions, today announced that it has named Larry Christofori as chief financial officer. As CFO, Christofori is responsible for all aspects of the Company's financial management operations, including setting strategies, and designing and implementing systems and processes. He also has responsibility for overseeing all of Mazu's accounting, human resources, legal and administrative functions.

Christofori brings more than fifteen years of leadership experience in financial management to his new role at Mazu. His professional experience includes working in organizations of all sizes, ranging from large money-center banks to small start-up companies. During his career, Christofori has successfully managed most financial management functions, including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, the development and implementation of financial systems and processes, financial planning and analysis, capital budgeting and accounting.

Prior to joining Mazu, Christofori was CFO of Emperative, Inc., a venture-backed communications software company that was acquired by AT&T in 2003. Prior to that he was a member of the senior finance team at Continental Cablevision, where he had direct responsibility for structuring, negotiating and executing complex financial transactions, including domestic and international bank financings, public and private debt and equity issuances, and mergers and acquisitions. Christofori holds a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Duke University.
