Mazu Networks Announces Technology Alliance with Qualys to Enable On-Demand Vulnerability Scans Based on Network Behavior Analysis

RSA CONFERENCE, SAN JOSE, CALIF. and CAMBRIDGE, MASS. - February 14, 2006 - Mazu Networks, the leading provider of behavior-based network security solutions, today announced a technology alliance with Qualys, Inc., the leading provider of on-demand vulnerability management and policy compliance solutions. The partnership will integrate Mazu Profiler™, a Network Behavior Analysis (NBA) system, with QualysGuard®, Qualys' Vulnerability Management and Policy Compliance solution.
The integration will enable customers to initiate vulnerability scans in response to suspicious network activity discovered by Mazu Profiler. As a result, customers will be able to: maintain an accurate vulnerability database without continuous wide-scale scanning; scan hosts involved in suspicious or unusual activity in real-time; obtain more detailed vulnerability reporting and use combined traffic behavior from Mazu Profiler and vulnerability data from QualysGuard to identify unused, yet open, server ports.

Mazu Profiler version 6.0 introduced technology that enables the product to seamlessly integrate with vulnerability scanners. Through strategic relationships with leading vulnerability management providers such as Qualys, Mazu Networks can now provide a complete solution to address the risks and vulnerabilities inside corporate networks.
