CAMBRIDGE, MASS. - August 15, 2006
Charles Kaplan, chief security strategist, Mazu Networks, Inc., the leading provider of Network Behavior Analysis (NBA) systems.
Kaplan will give a presentation titled “Network Behavior Analysis Systems: The New Foundation of Defense-in-Depth” during the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) Los Angeles Chapter meeting. His talk will focus on the impact on the growing internal network threat and the current shortcomings of traditional defense-in-depth security architectures. Currently, most organizations lack protection at the internal network layer, which jeopardizes critical data and services. The presentation will provide insight into how an organization can improve their defense-in-depth security strategy by adding protection at every point of entry, including the perimeter, endpoint and the internal network layer.
The presentation will be supported by recent research conducted by Mazu Networks and the Enterprise Strategy Group. This research shows that NBA systems, working in conjunction with perimeter and end-point security products, provide companies with the network visibility needed to protect critical internal assets and achieve regulatory compliance through enhanced auditing controls.
