Mazu Networks Announces Availability of Podcasts on Network Monitoring and WAN Management

CAMBRIDGE, MASS. - January 8, 2008 - Mazu Networks, the leading(1) provider of Network Behavior Analysis (NBA) systems, today announced the availability of two new podcasts intended to help educate IT organizations on how to effectively address network monitoring and WAN management issues.

The two podcasts, moderated by Charles Kaplan, chief technology strategist for Mazu Networks, include:

  • "It's 2008 - Do You Know What Your Network is Doing?" - In the "old" days, network monitoring meant ensuring things were “on” and getting an alert when they went “off.” This Boolean approach is no longer sufficient; if the alert is generated after a device or service goes down, the information reaches you too late.   • "Three Steps to Better WAN Management" - A number of WAN acceleration and optimization products are available to help you manage the cost of operating your WAN. These technologies tend to focus on finding ways to move traffic faster through the WAN pipes. While this is certainly useful, there is much more that can be done to ensure that your WAN offers maximum performance while minimizing cost. This podcast will discuss how NBA systems help analyze WAN usage to improve availability and reduce cost.
